The fully sustainable and off-grid accomodation is perched high up on a hill where you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature, whilst marvelling at the distant sea views. The property is elevated to 300 metres above sea level and sits proudly on 66 acres of your own private conversation park, brimming with natural wildlife.
The space
Maridaallah Retreat is designed to feel as if you're one with your environment, combining luxury, comfort, style with sustainability. Offering panoramic views from every room in the retreat, this space is architecturally designed to wow.
In the open-plan kitchen + living space, Maridaallah is home to the largest residential window in the southern hemisphere, situated right next to your own state of the art wood fire for optimal cosiness. There are also large glass sliding doors to be able to open up the space right up on those warmer days.
The large open kitchen features a double oven/steamer, a gas cooktop and all the utensils any amateur chef desires. The butlers pantry offers guests the essentials with an automatic espresso machine full of local coffee beans ready to go, tea and other basics to avoid ever having to leave this sanctuary.
With large glass doors to be able to close off the living space to the bedrooms, Maridaallah offers 4 four large bedrooms, all with central heating and cooling, ceiling fans and blinds. The main bedroom includes sweeping views of the entire Fleurieu Peninsula along with an large ensuite and bathtub looking out over the hills. The other three rooms share a bathroom that also includes a bathtub with views. There is a third bathroom with toilet located centrally within the house.
With excellent water collection and storage and solar generating capacity you will be able to luxuriate in these decadent baths and stay warm with two combustion heaters and reverse cycle air-conditioning. The home has excellent internet access, TV and phone coverage.
Guest access
Maridaallah has been designed so guests are able to walk in and have everything they need to enjoy the house to its full potential, except perishables, of course! Don't forget food.

The property is all yours to enjoy, with over 66 acres of enchanted lands to explore.
Guests are encouraged to engage with the wilderness on offer here. take the walking sticks and explore the natural terrain, or if youre feeling up to it make your way down to the billabong located at the end of the property (mind you, its a steep walk!). If you’re feeling romantic, grab the picnic blanket and basket located in the butlers pantry and find yourself the perfect spot to enjoy your complimentary bottle of wine.
There’s so much to see... if you wish. Otherwise, sit back, relax, and look on in awe as you take in the view from the comforts of your home. There are no rules here on how to engage with nature; simply surrendering and being here is enough.
