Positive: The owner was always available and incredibly helpful, offering great tips throughout our stay. Check-in was smooth with clear and thorough explanations, and when we had an issue with the shower, it was fixed immediately—really appreciated the promptness. He even went out of his way to accommodate us with a grill so we could enjoy a barbecue on our last night. Super friendly, polite, and welcoming from start to finish. Plus, the property is very affordable, making it a great value overall.
Negative: Ah, what a dreamy stay. We were welcomed by a lush patio—covered in grass and generously sprinkled with cat poo. A delightful obstacle course every time we came in or out. Inside, the magic continued: a thick layer of dust on everything and a mosquito repellent doing a stellar job of attracting mosquitoes instead of repelling them. It was like a nightly all-you-can-eat buffet, and we were the main course. There were no top bed sheets or towels, but not to worry—the owner proudly explained that previous guests treated them like doormats, so clearly the solution was to offer none at all. Makes total sense. Instead, we were gifted with a blanket that felt like it had been dredged from the bottom of a lost-and-found pile—heavy, grimy, and perfect for that “hugged by a filthy rug” feeling. Day one, the shower decided we didn’t deserve hot water. A cold splash of reality, literally. Thankfully, the owner did fix it quickly—credit where it’s due. But no curtains on the front window facing the bed? Inspired choice. Who needs sleep when you can greet the sunrise with your face at 6 a.m.? The kitchen was a vintage museum of battered pots and rusty knives. If you’re into culinary danger, you’ll love it. And the noise insulation? Non-existent. On our last night, the upstairs neighbors put on a live show: stomping, dragging furniture, animated conversations—all starting at midnight and wrapping up just in time for us to drag ourselves out of bed for an early boat ride. Simply unforgettable. Overall, an experience best left behind—but hey, if you enjoy discomfort, mosquito bites, and a sprinkle of resentment, this place is your paradise.
