Exceptional, garden level apartment with private entrance, off-street parking, and many accessibility upgrades. The apartment (legal accessory apartment about 700 SF built to code) features an open layout with a combined living-dining area, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom, all with large windows and blinds. The rooms have super-quiet AC units with independent controls. Entrance is at rear of the house accessed at garden level. Accessibility features include a level entrance, solid surface flooring, and all doors at least 34 inches clear. Price includes parking, WiFi, 50” TV, full-size W/D and utilities. Perfect for stays 1-6 months. Min. stay: 31 nights.
Location: Conveniently located between I-495 and I-270, the property is located on Falls Road (MD-189) which extends from Rockville (County Seat) to the C&O Canal, Great Falls National Park, and passes through the exclusive town of Potomac. The area has many options for shopping, dining, and recreation.
Falls Road tends to be busy during the weekdays from about 7-9 am and 4-7 pm. Guests say that it is comfortable inside. The driveway has off-street parking near the garden gate which leads to the apartment entrance. See the photos.
Transportation: By car, it is about a 15 minute drive to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, and to Shady Grove Hospital. In front of the house are two bus lines that connect to the Metrorail Red line stations, one at Grosvenor and the other at Friendship Heights.
Kitchen: L-shape with new kitchen cabinets, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, and window with view of the garden. Fully equipped with utensils, pots, pans, dishes, and a teak dining table and chairs.
Living Room: Sofa bed (72” wide) with armchair, desk, rug, TV, cable, Wi-Fi, and DVD.
Bedroom: King-size bed with layered memory foam mattress, allergy/bug and mite proof cases, linens, and bedside tables with lamps. Windows have insulated black-out shades.
Bathroom: Newly remodeled shower 36”x60” with grab bars, 3” curb, ceramic tile floor, sink/cabinet, mirror, and towels.
Laundry Closet: Full size washer, dryer, iron, ironing board, and shelves with extra linens.
Cleaning: The unit will be professionally cleaned prior to occupancy. The guest is responsible for keeping the unit clean, and supplies are provided. No greasy or smoky cooking please.

Summary: My husband and I just had a wonderful stay at this property in Potomac, MD. It’s a 1 BR apartment that is very comfortable, clean, and very well appointed. This property came with all the amenities one would expect in their own home and then some. The bedroom had a King bed with a very comfortable mattress, tons of storage space, a huge closet and ample hangers (my personal pet peeve is opening a closet to find 2-4 hangers when you’ve packed for a month-long stay!). The open kitchen/living room is spacious providing multi-use space for dining, TV viewing, reading and includes a very functional corner for office-use. The appliances are new and just about every kitchen accessory or gadget you can think of was provided. Then there’s the bathroom – it’s huge! Very nicely finished with a spa-like shower. Again, there’s plenty of storage space provided for toiletries, etc. The apartment has a private entrance and opens up into a private yard/garden with flowers (even in December!), birds, and an occasional rabbit. I’m someone who always cares about security when renting a property and I had no concerns here. The owners live upstairs and were available if needed* but are very conscientious about respecting your privacy. They did a great job installing motion lights so, if you are returning to the apartment after dark, they lights go on immediately and you have a clear view all the way to your private entrance. Dedicated parking is also provided for 2 vehicles. The property is conveniently located between Potomac Village and Cabin John where grocery stores, Post Office, restaurants, bakeries, gas stations, and a Starbucks, are located. We really enjoyed our stay here and would rent this property again. * When my husband was setting up the office area for working remotely he needed a printer cable. We called the owners and Karl came down with one and let us use it for the duration of our stay. Nice people.
