The space
This compact little flat on the outer fringes of Darlington town centre offers the best of both worlds in terms of location - quiet residential living with easy access to the hubbub and action of the bustling town centre. Many of the amenities you are likely to need are accessible on foot, but you can also make use of the local bus network that runs regular, reliable services into and out of town - the nearest bus stop is on the main road, just a two-minute walk away from the flat.
This two-bedroom property sleeps up to three people (one double and one single bedroom) and is on the first floor of a modern apartment development overlooking open, green space. From the communal main door at ground level, head up the stairs to the front door of the flat on your left, and into the central hallway.
The living room is furnished with two handsome matching sofas, a TV with DVD player and an electric fire that’s great for providing extra warmth on chilly days. This complements the newly-installed, efficient and easy-to-use electric wall heaters that heat the property as a whole. There is no gas in the property.
The bedroom next door has a single bed and two bedside cabinets for guest storage, and like the living room, provides nice views over the front of the property and the green opposite.
Across the hallway is the master bedroom with double bed, a range of fitted wardrobes and twin bedside cabinets that provide an abundance of storage space.
The open-plan kitchen and dining room is a great area for social cooking, dining and entertaining – or working-from-home if you’re here on business. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances and utensils you need for home catering, while the dining area is light, bright and airy.
The bathroom, which has a bath with shower overhead, WC and basin, completes the accommodation.
Parking is available right outside the apartment building (one allocated space) but there is additional on-street parking on the other side of the road.
Getting around Darlington by car is relatively easy; it’s a five-minute drive into town where you’ll find a mixture of private and council car parks. Many, but not all, council car parks offer free parking for the first two hours but check the ticket machines to be on the safe side. Even if parking is free, you must display a ticket from the machine.
Remote check-in to the property gives you flexibility on arrival time and complimentary tea and coffee will help you ease into your stay. Other items in the welcome pack include hotel standard hand soap, shower gel and shampoo, as well as a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll. There should be enough of the latter to last you a couple of days, but should you need more, there are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby.
Guest access
Guests have access to the whole property. From the communal main door at the entrance to the building, head up the stairs to the front door of the flat on your left, and into the central hallway.

CHECK IN/OUT TIMES
Check-in time is after 3pm and check-out time is 10am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will disrupt our cleaning schedule.
KEYS
Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.
TRAVEL COT & HIGH CHAIR
A travel cot with a mattress are available to borrow on request, subject to availability, and at an additional cost of £42. You will need to bring your own cot bedding, including a bottom sheet. A high chair is available free of charge but, as with the travel cot, please message beforehand so that we put the equipment in before you arrive.
INVENTORY
Please leave everything as you find it. Within reason, you will be liable for the costs of replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs as a direct result of any breakages or damages that you cause during your stay.
