Summary: My wife and I booked here months in advance, one-night pre and one night post sailing trip. The first night was satisfactory but when we were going to check-in after our sailing trip, the owner picked us up and drove us to another hotel we had no clue about and dropped us off with not much explanation. This was a large-scale hotel and very crowded. Our room was above a noisy swimming pool. We had booked Naveria Lodge for a quiet stay. As Americans we have been blessed to travel to many destinations around the world, and this was the first time we had experienced something like this. After talking to the owner on the phone, she really didn't have an explanation and said she would get back to us about moving us to a "villa" - as we didn't know what sort of a place this was going to be declined to move to another hotel. This whole incident left a bad taste in our mouth as you can imagine. This owner is an expat. Fiji is a beautiful country, and the local people are very kind and hospitable - we will be back to Fiji but not to Naveria Lodge. We always read reviews of other travelers and wanted to share our experience with this hotel.
