A perfect traditional Bed and Breakfast for a time away from your everyday work week, or just an overnight stay on your journey. We offer half of our home to our guests and accept only one set of guests at a time so you can enjoy a private getaway that is nestled in the "lost pines" area called Bastrop. We live on a bluff overlooking the Colorado River valley and a golf course.
The neighborhood, with its roller coaster hills, and Tahitian street names makes it unique.
The woods around us are a sanctuary to a myriad of birds, especially cardinals, and where owls can be heard calling out to each other, or hawks soaring overhead. Deer can be seen occasionally wandering through.
Our home reflects our love of Texas history, early Republic, built with Austin stone, decorated with an eclectic style of antiques. Our pride and joy is the large porch where you will enjoy listening to sounds of nature while viewing the gorgeous sunsets above the Pecan orchard across the river. The lower patio with pergola gets you closer to the view.
The Great Room is a comfy room to relax in while reading, watching TV. The large stone fireplace separates this room from the dining area, where breakfast is served between 8 and 8:30. Earlier times can also be negotiated.
