Our gorgeous 3100+ square ft three and one-half story cabin has it all. A true mountain retreat located in the Talking Rock Creek Resort community. Just east of Ellijay and south of Carters Lake, you will find yourself immersed in the quiet beauty of the mountains and the comforting sounds of the boulder-filled Talking Rock Creek.
Our home can sleep up to 10 guests comfortably, so it is perfect for a family gathering and much more. The main level features an inviting living area with soaring ceilings, a gas fireplace, and a 75-inch smart flat-screen TV. There is also a well-equipped, full kitchen with granite countertops where you can prepare all your favorite meals. We have an instant pot and great double-sided waffle iron. We have a coffee bar with a specialty coffee maker and bean grinder. And there is a family dining table in the heart of the home. We have stainless steel appliances, including a large refrigerator with an ice and water dispenser. In addition, the master bedroom and bathroom are on the main level, with a separate TV room just outside the master bedroom with a 50 inch smart flat-screen TV. There is a large deck that stretches across the entire back of the house where you can enjoy your coffee as you take in the mountain and flowing creek sounds and views and a screened-in area for outside dining. We have a large Weber gas grill and extra propane tanks. There is access to the main level with only one step on the side of the house for those who may have difficulty traversing stairs.
The 2nd floor has two queen bedrooms and a full bath.
Downstairs, you'll find a large king bedroom. In addition, there is a large family room that is perfect for family gatherings. It has a large sectional with lots of seating, 75-inch smart flat-screen TV, a DVD player, an electric fireplace, a table for games, and lots of games and puzzles. We also have two great arcade machines each featuring 10 classic games including Pacman, Super Pacman, Pac-Land, Pac-Mania, Dig Dug, Dig Dug II, Mappy, New-Rally X, Rompers, and RollingThunder. And if that is not enough, there is a Nintendo Wii video game console hooked up to the 75 inch TV.
Downstairs there is also a full-size washer and dryer so you can pack light and keep your things clean.
And finally, there is a unique crows-nest loft that extends above the top of the house with a full-size bed and a half bath, and a separate deck. The views from the crows-nest deck are amazing.
We have Wifi throughout the house with 25-35 Mbps speed. We have great AT&T and Verizon cell coverage. We provide DISH satellite TV service as well as access to streaming channels like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, ESPN+, Peacock, and a DVD player with an assortment of DVDs.
We have central air and heat throughout the home. All the bedrooms have fresh linens and the bathrooms fresh towels. We clean and sanitize EVERYTHING between guest stays. In addition, we wash all linens in hot/soapy water. We have a pack-n-play, highchair, booster seat, and baby-gate for the little one.
Our home sits on 1 ½ acres, with lots of parking. At the bottom of our property is the flowing Talking Rock Creek which you hear and see from the cabin. Our home is pet friendly (and we have a fenced-in area just for your pet. We also supply pet waste bags (hint – hint). We do have a limit of 2 pets, with a maximum combined weight of 60 lbs.
With our home's inclusion in the Talking Rock Creek Resort, you'll never have to go far for fun! This gated community offers the privacy and tranquility you have been looking for with the amenities that have something for everyone in your family. You will have access to a community pool (just down the road from the house and open from Memorial Day to Labor Day), basketball and tennis courts, a kids' playground, an exercise center, and a large picnic area. Trout fishing is within a short walk. Head just north to find summer activities like boating and fishing on Carters Lake, or go east into small-town Ellijay for souvenir shopping, country dining, wine tasting, and seasonal events, including the famous Georgia Apple Festival. There are numerous nearby hiking trails and biking trails at the nearby Talking Rock Nature Preserve.
Our home is in the mountains, and away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There are paved roads all the way to our home, and although some are steep, we have had no problems getting there with all sorts of vehicles, big and small.
We suggest that you stop at the grocery store before you get to the house because the nearest store is 25 minutes away and you don’t want to miss a minute of this mountain getaway. It is best to drive up during the day to experience the breathtaking three-mile trek from the gate. Be on the lookout for deer at play and wild turkeys!
