6517 Central Ave, Clinton, WA 98236 is a cute 888 square foot single family home on a 0.25-acre corner lot with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The living room has two comfortable sofas. They fold out to accommodate 4 more guests. It is two blocks from Colombia Beach in Clinton on Whidbey Island.
The quiet house was totally remodeled in 2023 with new floors, a new bathtub, and new paint.
You have a comfortable kitchen with a skylight and direct exit to a deck and an open counter to the dining area. The kitchen has all new appliances: Stove, water heater, washer and dryer.
The living area is spacious with some views across the Puget Sound towards Mukilteo and direct access to the deck. The dining area has access to another deck facing South. The quiet bedrooms have walk-in closets and views of the hills. The hall has closets for storage.
The backyard with mature vegetation and lawn is fenced in. The front yard allows for ample parking.
The bus stops across the street with service to Oak Harbor and Clinton Ferry. The “Humphrey Road Park & Ride” is one block away and the ferry is two blocks away.
In 1995 the house was moved from Columbia Beach to its present location and placed on a new foundation.

Captain George Vancouver gave it the name "Deception" because it had misled him into thinking Whidbey Island was a peninsula. He fully explored the island in 1792. In May of that year, Royal Navy officers and members of Vancouver's expedition, Joseph Whidbey (master of HMS Discovery) and Peter Puget (a lieutenant on the ship), began to map and explore the areas of what would later be named Puget Sound. After Whidbey circumnavigated the island in June 1792, Vancouver named the island in his honor.
