The space
Old Blue is truly the perfect classic lake cottage. There are three bedrooms: one king size bed, one queen size bed, and one double bed with a twin trundle. Two bathrooms with showers are accessible through two of the bedrooms. Relax in the large living space with comfortable furniture, lake views, and a TV. Enjoy the lake-facing sunroom with daybed/bench and dining table. The kitchen is fully outfitted with a pot filler, gas stove, microwave, toaster, fridge, and dishwasher. Dishes, pots/pans, and everything you need to cook a delicious meal can also be found in the kitchen. The laundry room with a washer and dryer is available for use. The backyard is such a special place and is outfitted with a firepit and Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, a wood burning sauna and small boat house room, and a private dock. Small neighborhood on Crystal Lake, NC. Right off of HWY US 1. There is a train that runs over the lake so be aware that there may be some noise from that-- but most of our guests (especially our two year old) say that it's just a part of the charm of staying at Old Blue's Retreat!
