This is the place for you if you are looking to spend a relaxing week with your family! The property is located down a quiet country road on one of Ossipee Lake’s most beautiful & serene beaches with a mountain peaks backdrop. The house is 50 feet from water’s edge with 150 feet of private, exclusive to you and your family, natural sandy beach. The beach is large and flat with a very gradual grade into the water, very safe for families with young children still learning to swim. Some of the outdoor amenities include private boat dock, canoes, paddle boat, life vests, swim raft and a lakeside fire pit right on the beach with wood provided for campfires under the stars!
The house is a classic seasonal rustic cottage built in the early 1900’s. It has been in our family since the early 1950’s and we feel like the classic style adds to the natural splendor of the lake. The kitchen has a sink, electric stove/oven, microwave, full size refrigerator/freezer, blender, utensils and cooking supplies. There is also a Weber propane grill for outdoor cooking. The living room has a river stone fireplace surrounded by rocking chairs, perfect for congregating around the fire place on cooler evenings. There is a flat screen television with cable as well as internet access. There is a full bathroom with a stand up shower. There are 5 bedrooms for up to 10 people, all with new comfortable mattresses! The screened in porch overlooking the beach and lake is where you will spend hours eating, playing games, reading, etc. It has a large table that seats 6 and a smaller table that seats 4.
From the porch and beach enjoy watching loons, bald eagles, ducks, and boats passing by. Our beach is in a protected cove which makes it one of the best places on the entire lake for watersport activities like water skiing, kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddle boarding. Our private dock is yours to park your boat for the week or for the kids to jump off (feet first please, no diving, it’s not that deep!). Bring your own boat or visit one of the local marinas on the lake to rent a boat or jet ski. Go for a paddle adventure to one of the nearby rivers on the lake where you're sure to see some water critters, plenty of birds and turtles catching the rays! Tour the lake and drop anchor at one of the many sandbars or river estuaries where people from all over the lake congregate. Fishing is also a hobby of many on Ossipee Lake. The fish population includes small and large mouth bass, three kinds of trout, land lock salmon among others. Whether it's relaxing on the beach, water sports activities or nature watching nothing is better than a day at the lake!
Our home is located just one mile from route 16 and route 25, convenient to many local attractions. Indian mound golf course, state liquor store, grocery stores, restaurants & White Lake Speedway & Mini Golf are just down the road. Just a 20 minute drive to Wolfeboro & Lake Winnipesaukee. A 30 minute drive to Conway outlet shopping, and the beautiful Kangamangus Highway. One hour to Mt. Washington, Cog Railway & Storyland. Plenty of nearby easy to difficult hiking trails or take a day trip to hike the Presidential Mountain range in the White Mountain National Forest. Visit North Conway's outlets where you're sure to get amazing Back-to-School deals. Visit area Ski Mountains to ride Alpine Zip Lines & Slides. As fall approaches take a scenic foliage drive to the famous Kangamangus Highway known for endless miles of spectacular fall foliage or take a drive up Mount Washington. The lake is often all that most need during their visit, but there are plenty of excursions for all!
