Summary: I’ve stayed at most every hotel in the Gaslamp District and the Pendry disappointed on so many levels. Heavy resort fee with little offered. Checked in, no bell service offered. $65 parking is ridiculous but not out for the area. But the service was so “uneven” and indifferent. Small room in good shape, decent bed, only one bathrobe, but just overall not a 5 star experience. Pool was packed and the only open seats were reserved. Prices outrageous in the mini bar and no option to put anything in there as they charge $100 fee to empty it so you can chill your own. Again, high expectations and low results. I would recommend almost any of the other high end hotels in the area over the Pendry.
