The space
We take the sanitation and cleaning procedures of our home very seriously. All linens are laundered with every new stay, and all commonly touched surfaces and objects are sanitized with every clean.
This home does not skimp on CHARM. From the moment you walk into our thoughtfully decorated chalet, we want you to feel at home. This all starts with how we set up our beds to maximize the space. The home is a 4/3 equipped with a king, two queen beds and a full over a twin with an additional trundle twin underneath. Additionally, we've converted the basement bonus room into a pseudo-bedroom by adding a brand new memory foam mattress fold out queen sectional sofa to the room (we'll let your family draw straws for who sleeps where—ha!).
If you want to "work from home," we've got you covered there too with our high-speed 1 gbps internet. Or completely disconnect by having a coffee, cocktail or ice cold beverage of choice on one of our massive porch spaces.
There are two large gathering areas; the main floor family room where you can all lounge comfortably on the huge sectional sofa, or the bonus room plus game room in the basement where you can enjoy video gaming, movie watching, or play pool or other board games that are provided. So spread out or gather together, however you enjoy your time together.
Sure, eating at restaurants is fun and Masthope has a great lodge restaurant called the Summit. But sometimes we all need a nice home-cooked meal, right? That's why our kitchen is fully stocked with all the essential tools you'll need to cook you and your family a nice dinner.
While we don't offer cable, each tv is equipped with a Roku or other smart streaming device for watching all your guilty pleasures. So feel free to BYOL (bring your own login) and log in to any service you're subscribed to.
While this is a large home, we think the perfect group size is 10-12. There is all sorts of space to spread out or gather amongst the three finished floors. The community also limits amenity passes to guests of our home to a maximum of 12.

Love your winter sports? Get 25% off ski lift passes at Ski Big Bear at Masthope, where you can also rent your skis. Try out the tubing hill for a fun family activity.
During late spring through summer there are two large community pools (open from Memorial Day to Labor Day) Westcolang lake, Delaware river access, a mini-golf course and a tennis court—all located in the Masthope community. There is also a fitness center available for use. All of the community amenities are available to guests for a daily charge of $10 per person.
On top of that, we have a fire pit outside where you can sit and relax with your friends and family.
Other things to note
Snow plowing will occur in the winter, but may take time during a storm. AWD or 4x4 vehicles are advised during the winter season, as we do have some steepish roads in the community. It's not 100% necessary, but highly encouraged. We do not refund based on weather or snowfall.
You'll need to be able to climb up ~8 stairs to access the home.
Please keep in mind that we run on community septic with a grinder pump at the house, so please do not flush ANYTHING that's not toilet paper.
In an effort to secure the premises, we've installed a Ring doorbell at the front of the home. The neighborhood is very safe, but this helps us keep an eye on the property and the various curious critters that happen by :)
Enjoy observing the many deer in the community and keep an eye out for any that may wander onto the road while driving.
Occasionally, you may see Mama Bear and her cubs. While they are adorable, please do not touch or go near them. And while they are so cute and look hungry, don't feed them, or leave any food or trash in your car. Again, DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN YOUR CAR OR THEY COULD BREAK IN. If you give Ms. Berenstain and her kids some time, they will migrate off the land :)
We do have a functioning chimney that you are free to use, but the home is BYOF (bring your own firewood).
