Homosassa Island Lodge is located on historic Homosassa River, 3 miles from the mainland on the west coast of Central Florida. This remote private property is accessible only by boat, and is ideal for fishing, scalloping, relaxing and taking in the unspoiled beauties of the Nature Coast. The Gulf of Mexico is only a short boat ride away. Most of the area surrounding the island is federally protected and known as the 'wildlife refuge'.
This rustic, yet comfortable retreat has a chefs kitchen with 2 sinks, 2 refrigerators, commercial gas stove, dining room seats 16. Living room with reclining sofas. Bar area with seating for six. Two TVs, Dish Network, WiFi, screened dock area, observation deck, second screened room with huge charcoal grill and picnic tables. Three bedrooms upstairs. Two queen beds, four double beds and one twin bed. One twin bed downstairs. Living room and dining room overlook river. Several docks. HVAC. Gorgeous sunsets! Only accessible by boat. Homosassa Island Lodge is approximately an hour and a half from Tampa International Airport and about two hours from theme parks in Orlando.
Please note Homosassa Island Lodge is only accessible by boat. You can launch your boat from one of the marinas or rent an overnight rental from one of the marinas.
Bungalow is a separate rental, in addition to the main Homosassa Lodge, for larger parties or those wanting more privacy. Bungalow is not available to rent on its own as it is not equipped with a full kitchen. Bungalow rates are $350 nightly, on top of main lodge rate of $900 nightly (plus taxes, cleaning, any VRBO fees).
