Summary: My husband and I decided to spend a couple of days in St Augustine. We were heading home after my husband’s father’s funeral. It was a rough week and we both needed to slow down and refresh. Staying at this hotel was the wrong decision!!! Front desk clerk checking in acted like I was bothering her. Never stood up, Never welcomed me!! She then rudely demanded a $100 deposit! No where on Hotels.com does it make you aware of $100 deposit. I had already paid for the room online. She would not tell me what it was for!! Room was nicely remodeled but floor was dirty!! No way to sweep or vacuum it. Totally gross walking barefoot so I wore my shoes when walking on the floor. Water pressure is horrible!!! If you have long hair like me be prepared to take forever to get your shampoo out. Bed is hard as a rock and the sheets felt sandy. Upon checking out I had to prove I had the credit card that I paid with for the room and then I was not allowed to leave until she checked out the room!! I left all used towels in a pile outside the bathroom door and I stripped the bed and left that in a neat pile (I do this wherever I stay). I will NEVER stay here again!!
