The four-season, heated cabin sits quietly along the tranquil Crooked River which feeds into Sebago Lake. When you are here, you are in the heart of the Sebago Lake Region. The cabin is minutes away from Sebago Lake State Park, the magnificent sights of the Naples Causeway, as well as the shops, restaurants, and bars of downtown Naples. However, you will feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The location is quiet and relaxing for families, couples, and friends reuniting.
The vacation house is 800 square feet with an outdoor deck that overlooks the water and 30 foot dock to swim from and to keep a power or pontoon boat. Sebago Lake is a 20 minute boat ride from the cabin. Boat landings are nearby. Within a few minutes by car are several marinas that rent watercrafts for personal use. By boat you can ride to the Songo Locks, Brandy Pond, Long Lake and Frye Island. You have access to two kayaks with life jackets. During all 4 seasons, anglers of all ages fish for such species as landlocked salmon, bass, lake trout, and brook trout.
The location is also less than 2 miles from an 18-hole golf course. The rental of the house allows you free access to the Sebago Lake State Park and Beach. The State Park Beach has a sandy bottom and the entrance to it is less than 1 mile from the house. Take the family or your loved one to a movie at the Bridgton Drive-in. The house is located 30 minutes from the Oxford Casino and less than hour from popular tourist areas such as Portland, Freeport and North Conway!
The three bedroom cabin can hold up to 6 guests. The cabin has several amenities you may not find at all vacation rentals. It has a 30 foot dock, gas fireplace, wall mounted air conditioning, grill, stove, porch, dock, 2 kayaks and a campfire area with firewood. Pets are welcome! The cabin is on a private road with only a few camps and there are friendly neighborhood dogs that may welcome you upon your arrival.
The cabin is stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, common kitchen spices, cookware, plates, bowls, silverware, dish towels, firewood, first aid kit, fire extinguisher and flashlights. The cabin has 3 bedrooms (each with their own TV). A king size bed in the 1st bedroom, two single beds in the 2nd bedroom and a queen bed in the 3rd bedroom. The house also has several board games for family fun!
The area is truly a four season delight! In the summer, many vacationers visit the Lake Region to fish, boat, sightsee, kayak, canoe, and just relax on one of the many bodies of water. During the winter, there is still so much to do from snowshoeing, ice fishing, snowmobiling or cross country skiing.
A unique feature of the area is the Songo Locks, one of the last remaining functioning locks to connect two bodies of water in Maine. The cabin’s dock can be used for securing a boat and for swimming. Docks are removed in the winter months but are generally back in the water mid-April through Mid-October.
