Families have enjoyed their vacations here for the last 5 years, what strikes them mostly it seems is the open space on site and bird song in a beautiful child friendly area here, close access to lake with its beech and cafe and restaurants and walkable village shops and bar but still feel out in the countryside , with far reaching views as you cycle or walk around. With so much provided from pool toys to games ping pong and pool and darts, often they loved just staying on site to play. Come the evening many of the adults enjoy the star gazing into the night. We like to give a big welcome to everyone as we fell in love with Rural France here it feels real and a breathe of fresh air to experience peace, hence the name of our gite.

Heart of Rural France within the dordogne. The lovely village is set Regional Park Périgord-Limousin , an area of around 1800 square kilometres in the north of the Dordogne region.
Within the park you will find meadowlands near water courses and forests that consist of chestnut and oak trees. To the south there is heathland, with low-growing woody vegetation and dry grasslands. There are also lots of little pools and lakes and many brooks and smaller rivers. Of all these waterways the Isle is the only river that has its source outside of the park's perimeter.
Home to over 40 different species of mammal you may come across European badgers, pine marten, mink, otter, fox, wild boar and of course deer. Hedgehops, mice and squirrel are also common residents. Winger creatures make up a large percentage of the animals with some 12 different species of bat and around 110 species of bird.
The park area has been inhabited by humans since the Lower Palaeolithic era, some 3.3 million years ago.

Or perhaps the history excites you too explore the local pre-historic caves at "Grotte de Villars" to some very grand Chateaux, "Jumilhac le grande" , "Hauteforte" and all inbetween . Wild swim in the local lake "Grand etang "St Saud, or St Esteph, "Plan de Eau At Mailet "just some of the many region Lakes and rivers. Afterwards return and enjoy Big starry night skies.

Your accommodation has two bedrooms both ensuite facilities,. the open plan living area offers an well equipped kitchen/ dinner with upright fridge/freezer, Microwave, coffee machines, kettle, saucepans and pretty crockery to enjoy Being a Chef trying out local food from the markets as you entertaining. access to your terreace straight out of the gite to enjoy BBQs , or retire to the comfort of the seats in the lounge area with TV and small desk for journalling your vacation. being open plan you can communicate easily across to one another. also this area offers a hidden Double bed which can enjoy.
Visit the local markets and night markets and experience the local produce region’s famous for. This is a quite heaven for you too use as a base to explore or just to relax and gain peaceful happiness with your family and friends.
The accommodation is part of a large house and is situated at the back facing southwesterly . The exclusive to your use from 10am to 9PM pool is south facing (access is via a secure fenced and gated for your use. ( we maintain the pool for you).with a large open garden beyond the terraced area . We live in the main house at the front of the building , we have hosted in our gite for 5 years many happy guest , we are here should you require information or help but this is your holiday and we respect that, as our guest do our privacy too.
