Positive: The cottage itself is very well decorated and kitted out with all that you need for a nice break. The lounge TV room is set out really well with a vary large tv on the media wall. The Tv is the main bedroom is very large as well. The kitchen diner is well kitted out although the breakfast bar unit makes it awkward for moving around when there are people sat at meal times. All the equipment ie toaster, kettle, air fryer, dishwasher, American fridge freezer etc are new and in very good condition. The bathroom and ensuite are well decorated and the showers in both are excellent. Outside when the gates are shut the garden is fully enclosed and dog friendly. There is also outside furniture that came in useful when the sun was out.
Negative: Room is quite tight in the dining area, there was only 4 of us so not sure how 6 people would manage. In the kitchen diner there are minimal electrical sockets, a few more would have been more useful. In the ensuite shower room there is a PIR for switching the light on and off after a few minutes but it is not detectable from the shower so part way through a shower the light goes off, ok in the morning but really dark at night time. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are comfortable but quite basic compared to the rest of the cottage. Outside it looks like there was previously a hot tub and the decking has a cut away without edge protection which lets the appearance down a bit. On the last day the weather went a bit colder but we couldn't find the thermostat for the central heating. There is a number to phone for anything but as it was the last day we didn't bother.
Summary: We all really enjoyed staying at the pet friendly cottage and the location is easily accessible.
