A luxury home set in lovely grounds with large deck - with private swimming pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen - overlooking Mawgan Porth bay. A five-minute walk from the beach and close to village amenities, golf courses and the South West Coastal path. And for those who enjoy spas we are just stumbling distance from the famous Scarlet Hotel.
Barwick is a unique ocean home, located in a prominent and elevated position above the stunning sandy beach of Mawgan Porth. Spacious and unique in design, this holiday retreat is somewhere to relax with family and friends.
The main house has three bedrooms one with super king, two with twin beds (zip link king beds) and then there's a self contained apartment above the main house, with a further king size bedroom and extra single bedroom. (The flat isn’t let separately, you have the whole place to yourselves).
In the main home and all on one level, you can enjoy the American style open plan atrium room, with kitchen, dining area, and living space. Then there is a more formal sitting room, with seating for 8 and sweeping bay windows that look out over the sea. It also has a wood burner for those chilly evenings. Theres a study for those days when you have to work with desk and views out over the deck. Then there's the cinema room for a sanctuary for everyone to escape for a little while. There’s also a games room with a pool table , table football, darts board and table tennis for rainy days.
The master bedroom is huge with an American size king bed and an ensuite with its own jacuzzi bath and walk-in shower. The two twin bedrooms (zip and link) share the family bathroom, with its twin pebble sinks and enormous walk-in rain shower with a meter-wide shower head.
Head upstairs to the self contained apartment and you find a cozy sitting room overlooking the ocean, a master bedroom with a king-size bed, and a dressing area with its own porthole view of the sea. There's also a bathroom with shower. The apartment also has its own terrace overlooking the sea.
Outside is an expansive deck with wide ocean views. There's a private heated swimming pool (in use May 1 to September 30) and a hot tub (open all year), and masses of space to sunbathe. There's even a shower outside. For outdoor cooking and drinking, there's a purpose-built outdoor kitchen and bar, which is fantastic for drinking cocktails as the sun sets.
At the rear of the property is a courtyard garden and a wide lawned area, once again with fabulous views to the sea. A great place to sit out and have breakfast.
There really is nowhere like this home for a spectacular Cornish vacation.
