The Studio Apartment on top of the Catamount Gap is a modern apartment in a very large top of the mountain top home just 2 miles from Western Carolina University on top of the Catamount Gap.
The apartment is absolutely full-featured and as nice as we can make it in every respect. There is a private deck, a fully outfitted modern kitchen, and totally private entrance. The apartment is a part of our home but there is no back and forth between the apartment and the area we live in. Each apartment has its own separate entrance on different sides of the home.
The apartment is ideal for visitors to Western Carolina University. You will be two short miles from the WCU entrance.
The Studio Apartment is at the absolute end of a state-maintained paved road at the pinnacle of our mountain. End of a state-maintained paved road at the pinnacle of our mountain and extremely motorcycle friendly. (We are avid bikers ourselves)
Amenities include:
A Large parking area and a huge private covered deck. Inside the apartment, there are 2 seating areas, a sleeping area, an upscale kitchen, tons of storage, Spa type bathroom, and a shower. A full-scale, totally furnished apartment! You will absolutely feel at home!
Sitting area number one is at the entrance from the deck and adjacent to the kitchen. Casual sitting area with a view of the deck and smoky mountains. Second seating area. This one is adjacent to the sleeping area and has dual leather couches. Adjacent to the computer workstation.
This is a full spectrum - top of the line kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own meals. Gas top stove, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes, etc! Top-of-the-line appliances to absolutely make cooking and dining a pleasure! (That is if you wish to cook!) Simply bring your groceries or shop local. 2 miles to shopping. Otherwise tons of nice restaurants close by or bring it home and enjoy a meal here in the apartment
The bath is full-size and very upscale. Tons of full-size spa-type towels. Top-of-the-line fixtures and a basket of the things you might have forgotten. Previous visitors are especially fond of the shower! It’s a full 6’ x 6’ with two wall-mounted shower heads and an overhead rain shower fixture. On one side of the shower, there is a floor-to-ceiling glass window with a view of the smoky mountains. Additionally, there is a large stained glass window with a large stained glass hanging artwork to admire. Forget some bath essentials? We keep a pretty good stock for you. Just in case. Also in the bathroom area, there is a Full-size washer and dryer. Washer and dryer supplies furnished of course. Iron and ironing board as well.

Queen-size bed. Top-of-line bedding sheets, pillows, etc. Extra pillows and blankets are located in the bed seat storage area.
The large flat screen on a swivel mount with premium-level Dish TV.
Computer work area with dedicated wireless internet.
A nice set of string lights in the top of the covered deck using Edison-type LED bulbs. Makes for a nice romantic evening glow!
Deck picnic table and two-person rocker
Floors are Mountain Maple flooring and real slate with appropriate area rugs. As nice as we can make it in every respect!
