Positive: We had a lovely holiday at Swallow cottage. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful, we felt like we were treated as family. There was a lovely home made chocolate cake waiting for us , it was really delicious. I have to say the two collie dogs were so lovely (we were asked if we were ok with the dogs around). We mostly ate in and the facilities were more than adequate to do so.A great base for exploring County Durham. We especially liked Durham city, Crook Hall gardens, the botanical gardens and a bit further afield Hall Hill Farm , Gibside , Seaham and Tynemouth beach and Whitley bay. Thank you very much for a great stay
