Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location was stunning, decor is simple but tasteful and comfortable.

Negative: The fridge didn’t work and had a fault tone beep every 2 seconds. The heating wasn’t on prior to arrival and temperature was only 16 degrees it took until after 22:00 to heat to above 17 degrees because the heaters hardly put heat out. This made sitting and relaxing uncomfortable and not very cosy. For a setup like this I’d have expected a small coffee machine. There were teabags and instant coffee but no sugar and no milk. There are no curtains in the living room and the outside lights didn’t work. Part of the check in is a request that you strip the bedding and put towels in the bath when checking out. I think to ask guests to do this but not provide basic things like milk or sugar is odd. I did try to contact the owners prior to the review but they didn’t reply. The issues are easy fixes and would transform the experience. If you stay take a heater and cupboard essentials and it will be a nice stay.

Summary: Basics not delivered. Could have been a great stay.
