Positive: "Front Porch on Ann" is a charming vacation rental, and while we didn’t meet the host in person, everything was smoothly arranged for us, and we didn’t need to. The entire process was easy, from check-in to check-out, making for a very stress-free stay. Check-in & Directions Before arriving, we received detailed instructions via email with clear guidance on parking and how to enter the property through the back door using a key code. As for parking, up to three cars are allowed. The House Layout & Amenities Entering through the back door, we found ourselves in the laundry area and kitchen. The kitchen layout, though tight, worked fine for heating our breakfast casseroles and making coffee. Just off the kitchen is a spacious dining room. At the front of the house, there are two large, comfortable sitting rooms. A small bathroom with a step-in shower is located downstairs off the hallway. Upstairs Bedrooms & Bathrooms Upstairs, the house offers four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The layout is designed so that the bathrooms are accessible either from the hall or directly from two of the bedrooms. One bathroom has a step-in shower, while the other has a tub/shower combination. Note for Guests with Physical Challenges: As mentioned, all the bedrooms are upstairs. The staircase is narrow and steep, and the upstairs floors are uneven so it’s important to keep that in mind for anyone with limited mobility. Location & Getting Around This rental is just a half mile from Beaufort’s town center. As it was very cold during our stay and we’re on the older side (and fond of adult beverages), we took an Uber into town for dinner. Final Thought Overall, the house was a comfortable and functional base for our trip. The ease of access and convenient location made it a solid choice for our group.
