Summary: The George combines a beautiful old building with clean, fresh interiors which are comfortable and thoughtfully planned - plenty of storage and hanging space, plenty of space in the bathroom for damp towels etc. I visit annually and it's a pleasure to see the same staff each year I visit! A comfy bed with padded headboard (ideal for reading), Smart TV and decent wifi add to the convenience. My room overlooked South Molton's main street but the double-glazing is so effective there was no noise. Breakfast is delicious and service is prompt and friendly. Some of the rooms have a couple of steep steps up to them so those with mobility issues might want to let the hotel know so they can allocate rooms accordingly.
