Summary: Overall, the location was good, the home was large and in decent condition, and we had a good time. The price was low for the size, which was great, but my wife and I set expectations low as a result and that was probably the right move.Be aware if you have high standards, some of the finish and condition is not great. One of the clothes dryers seemed to be broken and the other was in a utility room that didn't seem to have working lights. Some blinds were clearly broken. Someone used indoor flooring on the front porch which had curled enough it was bordering on a tripping hazard. We only found one used bar of soap for showering, though there was more than enough shampoo and conditioner. The listing says "Onsite parking options include a garage", and while there was a garage, we had no access to it. I would be reluctant to bring a young child there since the stair railings were clearly not up to code (a child could easily go through the openings) and their solution was to tie a baby gate across the length of the railing on the top floor. It's possible that makes it meet code, but I think the uncovered section when on the stairs remains a significant hazard for a young child. All this said, the property worked out great for our family under the circumstances. I'm just going through this list so if someone reads it and things "that doesn't sound like the place for me" that is probably the case. If you are easygoing, it is probably just fine.
