Summary: Since my family and I planned to be in DC for the 4th of July fireworks, we wanted to make sure we could park in the Westin garage a bit ahead of our stay there. We called the hotel and were told that it was fine but that it was all valet parking. We were a little confused by that since it specifically states on the hotel website that you had the option of self parking or valet. We didn’t question it and checked into the hotel and used their valet parking as there didn’t seem to be any other option. Upon leaving we asked the staff at the front desk if there was an option to self park and they said absolutely yes. They were surprised that someone told us that valet was the only option. Other than that snafu, the hotel was nice and everyone was friendly. Would have given 5 stars if not for the parking situation.
