Located high on Chestnut Mountain in the heart of beautiful Rabun Gap, this cabin is easy to get to, yet extremely private. You'll feel the true North Georgia experience when you travel to this property through lush forest and beautiful mountain views. 2,256 square feet, accommodations for up to 10 guests, and always feels like an escape from the stresses of everyday life. Spend your days hiking, golfing, shopping, visiting wineries and more on your relaxing Georgia getaway. (Waterfalls GALORE in Rabun County!)
Located on a completely wooded lot, those seeking peace and quiet will not be disappointed. The cabin sits just 3 miles from downtown Dillard (2.3 miles to famous Dillard House Restaurant and Stables), 7.7 miles to historic Clayton (so many fun restaurants, shops, art galleries etc.), 2.6 miles to 12 Spies Vineyards and Farms (gorgeous panoramic mountain vista views and fabulous wines, live music....) One hour to Harrah's Cherokee Casino, 18 miles to Franklin or Highlands NC, close to Lake Burton, Lake Rabun, Tallulah Gorge State Park and so many hiking trails and waterfalls located near the cabin.
With a large screened in front deck and a full house length back deck, there is plenty of outdoor area to sit, eat meals together and relax. The firepit allows for a great time enjoying friends and family around the fire. There is a large, parking area with easy access to the cabin and a two car garage with a covered walkway to the house.
Inside, there are four bedrooms in the main house and a large game room above the garage. There are three full bathrooms, washer and dryer and an open kitchen with ample counter space for those who want to cook their own meals. An open family room allows for relaxing in front of the tv or playing games at the dining room table. The family room has a gas fireplace for those cozy evenings enjoying a fire. The game room supplies fun for all with a full-sized pool table and smart TV.
The master bedroom is on the main level with a king size bed, satellite TV, large closet and on suite bathroom with shower. There is a second room on the main floor with a double bed and closet. It is adjacent to a full bathroom with shower and dual sinks. This bathroom includes a washer and dryer. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a full bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a king bed with a balcony overlooking the firepit area. The other bedroom has four twin beds. The bathroom upstairs includes a shower and jetted tub for relaxing after a day of hiking local waterfalls or shopping any one of many towns nearby.
Wireless internet is available throughout the house.
We supply 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom 2 two rolls of paper towels in kitchen, along with hotel size soaps, laundry detergent and shampoo. Hopefully this will be enough basics to give you time to go shopping once you have settled in.
Please note this is a very quiet community which is great for relaxing. This is not the place to rent for large loud parties or rowdy groups. Although the neighbors are not very close, noise carries in the mountains and can disturb others.
