Tyn Y Ceunant is a wonderful traditional stone cottage sleeping up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms. Situated in a very rural setting with wonderful views across a valley and surrounded by field, hills and woodland, the cottage is set in a secluded rural location, a few miles from the village of Dinas Mawddwy, between Dolgellau and Machynlleth. The cottage is dog-friendly and has ample parking for guests who wish to explore the surrouding area.
The cottage has been carefully renovated to retain many of the original features, such as the exposed wooden beams, traditional floorboards and the wonderful inglenook fireplace in the main lounge area. There are three bedrooms in this secluded cottage - two on the first floor and one on the ground floor. The ground floor bedroom, which is a double, has it's own private entrance with which to enter from the front door. The other two upstairs bedrooms are a double and a twin, and you will also find the family bathroom upstairs too.
As well as the separate double bedroom on the ground floor, the main living room and a kitchen-diner are also found, along with a utility room. The living area has a lot of traditional features, comfy sofas, cosy log-burner and TV. Throghout the house, there are storage and fixed convector heaters. The cottage is equipped with fibre broadband, and the average WiFi speed is over 100Mbps. There is the use of a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, microwave, DVD and garden furniture. Bedl inen and towels are also provided. Please note, that due to the exceptional but rural location, there is limited mobile phone reception, and it is network dependent.
There is ample parking for cars and the cottage, being dog-friendly, welcomes up to 2 dogs at no additional charge.
The former farmhouse is in a very rural setting, away from any other dwellings, though it is close to the nearby village of Dinas Mawddwy, between Dolgellau and Machynlleth. The village is located just off the main A470 Machynlleth to Dolgellau road. A narrow road that runs through Llanymawddwy and climbs very steeply up through the mountains to Bwlch y Groes, the highest road pass in Wales and onto Llanuwchllyn at the southern end of Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake); there is also a turn off for Lake Vyrnwy.
