Positive: Host contacted me with instructions and since I already knew the location it was easy to gain access to the property. The pool and exterior is great, the house is fair for the price. There was a case of welcome beer in the fridge, but then it went downhill from there. :)
Negative: The property is dated and the kitchen is missing basic things like a mixing or serving bowl, a pairing knife, a bread knife, the existing knives are old and dull, no decent glass ware, in summery all stuff one would find at a thrift store. Towels were stained and limited, even though there is a pool in the backyard and towels are needed. The host doesn't provide regular supplies such as trash bags, dish soap or paper towels. There was a small leaky bag of detergent on the counter...nice try. While he supplied a case of XX beer as a welcome gift, the property leaves a lot to wish for. Worst, at the end of the stay, he claimed that we stole 3000.00 pesos of cleaning supplies out of an open storage closet because he left this closet open and since we were missing items and they were in there we just assumed that his cleaning staff missed to supply it and moved 1 bottle of dish soap from the closet to the kitchen and used 2 garbage bags. He harassed me via WhatsApp telling me what I should have done and immediately filed a bill with Booking for said 3000.00 pesos. A very disappointing end to a family vacation.
Summary: Unprofessional host with dated property trying to scam tourists - AVOID
