The Space:
The apartment is a ground-floor unit in a historic 4-unit building. The unit was recently renovated with new flooring, an updated kitchen, and an updated and very spacious bathroom. Since it is on the ground floor, the apartment contains lower ceilings; however, the unit stays super cool in the summer heat and comfortably warm on the colder winter days in New Orleans. Perfect for a small family or two couples who would like a cozy quiet place to relax after a day out and about in the city. Bedroom one contains a king bed and bedroom two includes a queen bed, both very comfortable memory foam. Both bedrooms open onto the kitchen and living/dining area with a fully stocked kitchen including stove, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There is a shared laundry room in the back shed which may be used upon request. There are two other rental units on the premises which could be rented for larger groups - please contact the host if this is something you are interested in.

The Neighborhood:
This home is located Uptown on the edge of the charming Garden District. This area is exceptionally walkable and features oak-shaded streets that are lined with a diverse mix of homes, from single-story cottages to the grand historic mansions and lavish gardens of St. Charles Avenue. It is just steps to the St. Charles streetcar which will take you right down to the French Quarter in minutes. Also, only a few blocks away is Magazine St. with all of its boutiques, antique shops, restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, local bars, and more. Last but certainly not least, this is one of the best locations in the city to enjoy Mardi Gras as all of the parade routes are one block away!
Getting Around:
This area is very walkable and just steps to the St. Charles Streetcar. The streetcar is $1.25 per ride or $3 for a 24-hour pass. It will take you right down to the French Quarter in minutes!
Other Things to Note:
Please note the building is a 4-plex and this ground-level unit shares walls with one other rental unit. There is free 24-hour street parking available along the block. If you are traveling without a vehicle, you can easily get around on foot or via the streetcar. The area is very walkable, and the neighborhood is friendly to pedestrians.
