The luxury cottage has central heating and comprises: Ground floor: kitchen/diner equipped with a fridge freezer, fan assisted oven, extractor hood, four ring halogen hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a 4 seat dinning table. Lounge, TV with satellite Freeview, CD/DVD player, wood burning stove. Open stairs lead to the first floor: bedroom with a king size double bed and views across open fields. Bathroom with shower cubicle, bath, toilet, vanity basin and view of the lake district fells. Second floor: bedroom with double bed. Outside there is car parking at the rear and at the front there is a small sitting area, with flower tubs and garden furniture.
Local interest and activities: : The near bye town of Millom is 1.5 miles away, with a Tesco Supermarket and a good range of shops, restaurants, cafes and Take-aways. In Haverigg the village shop is open 7 days a week and caters for every need! The Harbour Hotel serves excellent bar meals, whilst the fish and chip shop has an adjoining café. Not far away the beach cafe is also open all year. Millom has an Italian restaurant, Da Vinci's, which is highly praised by all our guests and there are many good pub restaurants within a 10 mile radius. Walk to the Hodbarrow Nature Reserve and the R.S.P.B. hide - and watch the many species of migrating birds which use this area to rest during their long annual migratory flights. Search for rare orchids and Natterjack toads on the dunes, which are a dedicated S.S.S.I. The Cumbrian Coastal Way,running through the village, can lead you north or south alongside the peaceful estuaries and inlets, with spectacular views all around. See the famous ghosts at Muncaster Castle (12 miles) and also many rare trees and plants, or visit the World Owl Centre.
