The apartment is located in a small building on the second floor with balconies in a sleepy Spanish neighborhood near lots of transportation but away from party centers. It's a little like you can see Barcelona, but Barcelona can't see you.
Expensive tourist restaurants are farther away, close by are a couple of very nice restaurants that locals visit like Cal Santi Brasserie, typical Spanish food-no one speaks English, and Retruco, delicious asado beef house and pizzeria-Argentine style.
Mercadona large chain grocery store is 3 blocks away and Kom Kal also nearby for wholesale prices with my membership card.
