Explore Los Angeles from a centrally located apartment in the heart of Culver City. This "Chic & Sunny Garden Oasis" offers the best of California indoor/outdoor living with a large and lush ground-level private patio that's fully fenced and has spacious seating, as well as a dining table and BBQ. It's a great area to relax and enjoy a meal alfresco. We also have a lovely porch that overlooks the garden area and palm trees just outside the entrance to the upper-level apartment. It features a bistro table that's a great place to enjoy morning coffee, relax during the day, take in the sunset in the evening, and to get some work done.
Inside, the living room/dining area is quite sizeable and a great space for your whole group to unwind and relax. There's a comfy couch that can serve as a sleeping space if needed. We have a 65" HD-SMART TV that has many apps like Netflix, Hulu, etc. where you can stream content from. The dining table can seat 4 and we have 2 bar stools at the kitchen counter.
There are two bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and their own SMART-TVs. The TV in the master bedroom is 50" and the guest bedroom TV is 43".
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishware, glassware, flatware, cookware, etc. and has most items needed to make a meal. It's got full appliances: a dishwasher, microwave, stove/oven, large fridge/freezer, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster oven, and a blender.
Just off the kitchen is our sun-room office area: a beautiful space with a work desk and futon as well as large window views that overlook the garden outside. It's a great spot for relaxing, unwinding, and working when needed. The futon can be a sleeping space, too.
The bathroom was recently remodeled and has all new flooring and tile. It features a bathtub/shower. The toilet has a bidet.
The laundry room is located at the back of the property. It's shared with the guests downstairs. We have a washer and dryer you can use as needed. We do provide detergent.
The property is located on a quiet neighborhood street, but walking distance to many great shops and restaurants. Helms Bakery is a 5 min or so walk. The Culver City Arts Distrcit is about a 10 min walk, and we are about a 20 min walk (or 5 min or drive) to the heart of downtown Culver City. It's a great central spot to explore Los Angeles, with a easy access to the Westside.
Our "Sunny, Chic & Central Garden Oasis" is the perfect spot for family trips, couples, friend groups, and business travelers. It's also a great place to "work from home" and we do have the fastest WiFi offered by our provider and strong signal throughout the house. We can accommodate up to 5 people.
GUEST ACCESS
The washer and dryer are shared with the guests in the bottom unit on the property. The laundry room is located at the back of the property.
The storage sheds at the back of the property outside of the laundry room and the storage shed on the side of the building are reserved for the owners, and you won't have access to them during your stay.
There's two parking spaces on site in the driveway. Additional cars can street park or use the nearby meters.
The gardener comes on the first Monday of each month, typically between 10am-NOON. During this time, they will be inside your patio area to attend to the trees and plants as well as clear up any debris.
The fire pit cage on the patio is decorative only--it is not intended to be used as a heat or fire source.
THINGS TO KNOW
This is an upper-level unit and there is another apartment below. The patio area is private and yours to enjoy.
PARKING: We offer free on-site parking for two vehicles. Sorry, we are unable to accommodate a 3rd car. Neighborhood parking and meters are available if you have guests with additional cars.
BEDS: We have a king bed in both of the bedrooms. There is a futon in the sun room office that can be a sleeping space if needed for a smaller-sized person. The living room couch can also serve as a sleeping space, though is not a sofa bed.
WiFi: We have the strongest wireless internet offered by our provider. We have hosted many "work from home" guests who have been on numerous video conferencing calls with no issues.
Check-In/Check-Out Times: We use a self-check-in system that allows you to check-in at 4pm or any time after. Check out time is 11am. We DO NOT allow early check or or late check outs.
LAUNDRY: The washer and dryer are located in a laundry room at the back of the property and shared with the guests in the unit downstairs. We do provide detergent for you to use during your stay.
Heating/Cooling: We have a mini-split system for heating/cooling in both bedrooms. In the living/dining room area, there is a wall unit AC and a radiating heater. The heater is an older model, but works quite well! We have a space heater for the sun room office and you can open the windows or use a tower fan for cooling. Please note that the office does NOT have air conditioning, but this is not usually an issue if you open the windows or use a fan.
We do have guests who will be staying in the apartment below this space. It's possible that you will hear sounds coming from their unit (typical apartment noise). This has not been an issue for nearly all of our past guests. However, if you are at all sensitive to noise or if hearing sounds from above will bother you, please don't book this listing.
PACKAGE DELIVERY: You must get permission before having any packages or letters mailed to our home. We do not offer concierge service and as such you are responsible for signing and retrieving any packages delivered to you. We are not responsible for any mail that is lost or stolen.
CLEANING: Maid service is not included in your reservation. The cleaning fee that you pay upon booking covers the cleaning for when you check out; mid-stay cleanings are not included. We can arrange mid-stay cleanings for an extra charge. Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you'd like to arrange a mid-stay cleaning.
