Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The house was very spacious and the garden ideal for travelling with a dog and young children. The little ones loved gathering up the fallen apples and hunting for shells amongst the gravel. Having a toilet/ bathroom accessible to each of the 4 bedrooms was fantastic. It was just a few minutes walk down to the beach and then 20-25 mins to gentle walk along to the playground, cafes and light railway.
Negative: We had to reorganise some of the contents in the kitchen cupboards to make enough space to put our food shopping away, and a lot of the equipment in the kitchen had to be washed before we could use it, as it wasn't clean (eg food left on baking trays, cutlery, crockery and sauce pans). We had to bring our own stair gates and travel cot as these were not privided, and we weren't able to use the stair gates on the stairs due to its width and the style of the handrail, so were anxious about the young children having access to the stairs. Sleeping in the cabin wasn't the most restful as the tree outside kept brushing its leaves and branches and dropping apples onto the metal roof!
