Take it easy at this unique and tranquil beach cottage situated directly on Hordern’s Beach.
“White Wings” at Bundeena is an original 1950’s home that has not yet been renovated - what it lacks in modern style it makes up for in an abundance of retro charm.
Light and airy, this two storey home with five bedrooms features amazing views over the ocean, with access to the beach from the private terrace.

The space
Two storey beach house with downstairs open plan lounge and dining with magnificent ocean and beach views. This area is sunny and light, opening onto original patio with frangipani tree and outdoor seating. Listen to the sound of the waves crashing whilst you enjoy your morning coffee.
Off this space is the original 50’s kitchen - it’s not pretty, the mustard wallpaper isn’t for everyone but it has been updated with a new fridge, dishwasher and gas stove.
On this level there are two queen bedrooms - one at the front and one at the rear.
There is a bathroom on this level that features a space with WC, seperate shower and bath with a room off this with sink. The bathroom is in its original condition - again, fully functional but very dated.
Upstairs are three queen bedrooms capturing beautiful water views and ocean breezes.
There is another bathroom upstairs with shower, toilet and sink - very original but working.
This old dame of a house will undergo sympathetic renovations in the near future however for now there are some garish tiles, mustard wallpaper, drapes with seashells and reminders of life in the 50’s.
White Wings is simply decorated with linen furniture, neutral colours, linen bedding, sisal rugs and artwork.
The location is perfect for a relaxed beach holiday with friends and family.
Kayaks and stand up paddle board for use.
Other things to note
Important:
Horderns Lane is a tight, small lane. Our property does have off street parking for two cars however it is a little difficult to navigate if you have larger vehicles. There is also plenty of off street parking around the corner.
There are also approximately 35 steep stairs to access the house from the parking - not suitable for small children or guests with mobility issues.
There are also a number of stairs to access the beachfront which may affect above guests.
Please note White Wings is an unrenovated 1950s beach cottage in its original condition. This means that there will be creaks and draughts, signs of age with dripping taps and old wallpaper and some less than pretty aspects.
However all furniture including beds, bedding, mattress, towels, washing machine, dryer, stove, fridge, microwave, tv are all brand new.
The location is absolutely brilliant with direct access to Horderns Beach and beautiful views.
