This cozy cottage is the perfect getaway for up to 10 people who desire to step back in time, relax in a quiet wooded setting on the lake, play games, put together puzzles, kayak, swim and create new memories in a home established in the 1940s. Don't let the age fool you, the home is appointed with many modern comforts.
You can relax on the screened porch overlooking the water or enjoy a meal together on the large picnic table.
The home includes a dock for your boat, and the rocky shoreline of Drummond Island's South shore is great for exploring on foot and by kayak. Very swimmable, too (water shoes recommended).
The main bedroom and full bath are on the main floor and the loft has two bedrooms with two full beds each.
The home's water source is filtered lake water. Please bring bottled water or a Brita water filter for drinking.
Jeeps, Side by Sides and ATVs are welcome, however you must trailer SxSs and ATVs to the trailheads since they are not permitted on M134/Channel Road.

Summary: We were familiar with this property as it is within walking distance to where our parents lived on the Island for 28 years. Needing accommodations for our Matriarch's celebration of life, and discovering it on VRBO, we immediately booked it. It is a timeless Drummond log home surrounded by cedar trees. One bedroom downstairs with a double, and two upstairs bedrooms, each with doubles tucked under the eaves. The living area is huge with a oversized stone fireplace. The kitchen is small but with everything you need. A short walk down the slope in front and you're at the water. Our family had five places booked but chose this one to gather for our last evening there with a fire in the firepit by the waterfront. It was the perfect ending.
