Summary: The hotel is in the heart of the top tourist location but service, cleanliness, and condition are below average for a hotel at this price range. Three messages regarding need for early check-in were not answered. Did not agree to arrange airport pickup. A towel that had hair and scum was met with a cold apology when reported. No coffee maker in room. Would not stay there again. After several trips to Rio, I would not stay in Copacapana again because most hotels don't seem to care about customer satisfaction given the demand. I would stay in Ipanema which is a walking distance or can use a cheap taxi for a 10 minute ride.
