Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We chose Porto Torres because it is quite central to the towns and cities we wanted to visit. For example, Sassari is about 15min, Alghero 30min, La Pelosa 30min, and closer beaches like La Saline just 20 minutes away. That’s why Porto Torres was the perfect choice for us. The apartment itself was great — very spacious. We were three men and each had our own bedroom. The living room is very large, with a big kitchen that has everything you could need. Two out of the three bedrooms have air conditioning. The biggest one, the room with the bunk beds, has air conditioning, while one room does not. So basically, every room except one had air conditioning. It was also very clean. We had a small issue with the air conditioning, but the host came immediately to help us out. Really great service, and he also gave us tips on beaches and places to relax. The photos also truly reflect the spaciousness of the apartment, so no worries there

Negative: Another very important tip for anyone traveling by car: we unfortunately received a €30 fine on Via Sassari, which is the main road right next to the apartment. We didn’t know that on Tuesdays you’re not allowed to park on one side of the street (accomodation side), because that’s when the cleaning service comes to clean the road. Sadly, we only found out after getting the fine. So please keep this in mind: on Tuesdays, make sure to check the signs. We did find one that mentioned street cleaning during certain hours in the morning, which means parking is forbidden on one side of the road.
