Villa San Giuseppe is located in the open countryside, just outside the seaside resort of Cecina on the Costa degli Etruschi (Etruscan Coast), in a panoramic hillside position overlooking the sea. The property is the result of recent renovation using natural materials with a contemporary design and neutral tones to create a perfect harmony between modernity and nature. The first material that immediately greets you is travertine, running along the entire exterior of the property, and then continuing to the ground floor where we find an open-plan area (with kitchen, dining room and living area) that opens out onto the surrounding garden through large French windows that allow natural light to come in and embrace every corner of the interior spaces. The interior decor combines minimalism and elegance, creating a cosy space with a skilful use of furnishings with clean lines, combined with warm and enveloping tones. The sleeping area on the first floor, again in minimalist style, plays on the ivory shades of the resin floors, with refined warm wood inserts, and in the furnishings. The white chestnut-beamed ceilings recall the most typical element of Tuscan architecture. Another material that stands out in this villa is Corten steel, which can be found in the internal stairs and in the external gazebo that connects the villa to the annex, in perfect aesthetic coherence with the surrounding environment. The villa is located strategically close to the coast as well as to some of the most well-known little Tuscan towns, such as Bolgheri, Suvereto and Populonia, making it the ideal place for those wanting to spend a complete holiday between sea, art, history, nature and good food, yet in a place immersed in tranquillity and privacy.
Interior:
Villa San Giuseppe consists of the main villa and an annex. The main body is on two floors covering a total of about 350 sqm. From the main entrance, across the portico, you enter the open-plan living area with sitting room, dining room and kitchen with central island and state-of-the-art appliances. From here French windows lead out to the garden and gazebo. A laundry room and a guest bathroom complete the floor. A staircase in Corten leads up to the sleeping area on the first floor, consisting of six double bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom and shower, and a large terrace of about 30 sqm with a magnificent panoramic view over the surrounding hills, vineyards and olive groves up to the sea. The bathroom on the first floor are not equipped with the bidet but there is the WC hand shower. The annex, adjacent to the main building, serves the swimming pool and consists of two changing rooms, two bathrooms with two shower stalls and a laundry area.
Park:
The villa is surrounded by about 5000 sqm of terrain of which approximately 1000 sqm form part of the garden around the property. Undisputed protagonists are the olive trees that embrace the entire grounds and greet you as soon as you pass through the entrance gate, offering a unique welcome. From the gate you follow the gravel driveway to the parking area enclosed, on one side, by the olive grove set at a higher level and delimited by a stone kerb and, on the other, by a laurel hedge. From here you come to the natural lawn area on which stands a tall, majestic pine tree with an elegant ornamental stone well at its foot. The lawn surrounds three sides of the villa and is bordered by a laurel hedge that defines its boundaries with elegance and discretion. The garden is enriched by the intense fragrances of the aromatic plants that adorn the flowerbeds, which not only add a touch of colour and liveliness, but also give out the typical Tuscan scent to those who pass by. In the part of the lawn behind the entrance is the pool area. The outdoor dining area is set up under the Corten gazebo that joins the main body of the villa to the annex.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The pool area is located in a part of the back garden, in a privileged position from which to admire the surrounding countryside and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The infinity pool is located a few metres from the villa and is accessible from the ground floor across the lawn. The pool and the edge are in pietra serena; rectangular and measuring 14 x 6 m with the depth varying from 90 to 180 cm and with a 30 cm-deep beach entry, the pool is equipped with chlorine purification, internal lighting and Roman steps for access. The surrounding solarium area, partly stone and partly lawn, is equipped with lighting, two sails, sunbeds, tables and an umbrella to offer guests maximum comfort. In the pool area is the annex with two changing rooms, two showers with a toilet and a laundry area. The pool is equipped with a remote control cover, can be heated on request (for a fee) and will remain open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October.
