The house is an operating Bed & Breakfast and is set up, as such. There is a total of 9 bedrooms, 3 of the bedrooms share one bathroom and the 6 other rooms have private bathrooms, along with a kitchen, living room, dining room space, and a huge front yard. The house can easily fit 19 people, but can add a couple more if you would like to bring an air mattress or another sleeping apparatus. The three rooms that are on the 2nd floor each have one queen bed and share one bathroom, on the first floor there is a room off the side of the house, with a private patio, that has a private bath and full bed, and in the house, has a room with 2 twin beds and a private bathroom, on the garden floor are four bedrooms with private bath, two rooms have full beds, two have queen sized beds.
The house has wifi, tv in every bedroom (no TVs in the shared spaces). Perfect for family reunions, bachelor, bachelorette and any other big get together parties. There are multiple fridges, heaters on the front patio (if needed). We will leave out the breakfast items, and can arrange a scone and cookie drop off, if interested. We are very close to Wrigley Field, and are surrounded by the bars and restaurants of Northalsted (those that want a little more quiet, may not really get it depending on the night). On that note, we do allow you to have parties and guest that are not staying at the building over, as long as you respect the house and honor the noise ordinances of the City (no loudness after 10pm).
The is no parking onsite, it will be street parking. We will give you a parking permit for the surrounding areas for all cars in the party.
Given we are an operating bed and breakfast - it will be hard to accommodate and early checkin, though we do allow the party to show up early and can get you into the rooms as fast as we can.
This is one of the most unique buildings in the Chicago area. It is the only Victorian house with a huge front yard along Halsted street. The building is over 120 years old.
Due to the size of the house, if you’re just looking for a group of rooms, but don’t necessarily need the whole house (and are ok with other guest being on the property), please reach out and I can help arrange that for you, if available.
